Meet Our CEO: Edgar Hernandez!
Hi everyone! My name is Edgar Hernandez! It is my pleasure to be the CEO and lead tutor of Ganas Tutoring. I created the company of Ganas, to help people, like myself, thrive in achieving their academic goals. A little bit about myself first. I grew up in Los Angeles in South Central and Maywood. Then I went to high school in Boyle Heights. Due to my upbringing, I always leaned on tutoring services at my school to receive the help I needed to pass my classes. Afterwards, I decided to go to college. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Then I received my Masters in Education Technology at California State University East Bay. Even though my speciality includes science, math, engineering, and technology, I am also knowledgeable in many other subjects. This would include English, history, and even career! Throughout my educational journey, I had one goal, to help others. This led me into the field of teaching for over 7 years and to this day. I taught at several middle schools with the goal to help break down tough concepts so every student can learn with ease and succeed. However, I feel that my work goes beyond the classroom. I want to help students of all ages and backgrounds acquire academic skills in order to be successful.
